Facilitation

Facilitation
is an approach or process used to assist groups in discussing the issues that are of concern to them such as analyze issues, assist with transition and change, team-building and planning, managing decision-making and cooperation, and public policy meetings. A facilitator can act as a neutral catalyst or process expert to support a group’s experience in achieving their purpose and goals.

The facilitation process may include the following services and/or processes:

  • Contracting

  • Needs Assessment

  • Planning and Design

  • Group Commitment

  • Facilitation and Implementation

  • Follow-up and/or report writing

 Facilitation Services may include:

  • Strategic and long term planning

  • Transition and change

  • Needs assessment

  • Focus groups

  • Public forums

  • Group problem-solving and dialogue

  • Board and/or work retreats

  • Special education and IEP meetings

  • Team-building

Jean has provided facilitation services to institutions of higher education, governmental agencies, non-profit groups, schools, employers, community and statewide forums over the last ten years.
